Revolt!

Revolt! is a series of paintings depicting our take on revolutionary leaders from different geographies and time periods.

It speaks to us about the different revolutions we have experienced during our lives and about what it means for something to be revolutionary or revolting, or for someone to revolt or be revolted. For example, we are revolted by many of these revolutionary figures, but others find them inspiring.

The first one in the series is our take on Che Guevara and was painted during February 2024. We started it with a sketch of the more iconic take of the famous picture this is inspired by, but could not make it work, so we had to fall back on a different take.
